Achill Island truly is Ireland's hidden gem.
A stunning part of the Wild Atlantic Way, Achill Island lies just off the coast of County Mayo in the west of Ireland. Before even reaching the island the views on the drive over are stunning and offer a taste of what lies in store.
It's not just the scenery that make Achill so appealing, it's the warmth of the islanders, the friendly smiles, a place where you'll always be welcomed as a friend.
Achill, Ireland's largest island, is made up of a handful of villages including Keel, Dugort, Dooagh and Dooega and is joined to the mainland by the Michael Davitt bridge at Achill Sound.
We would definitely recommend a trip to Achill Island and hope to return someday. We cannot say enough about what an amazing place this is!
